Anime Squadron Traits Explained
Traits change how a unit performs in its role. The mistake is ranking every trait as if every unit does the same job.
| Trait | Tier | Best for | Keep rule | Caution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Superior | SS | DPS, support, most endgame units | Keep on any top unit unless a role-specific Cloner setup is required. | Do not burn Perfect Cubes chasing it on a temporary unit. |
| Cloner | SS | Shinks, support, extra-placement strategies | Keep on support and many premium units. | Less valuable on units that already struggle with placement cost. |
| Entrepreneur | S | Fastwagon, economy units, expensive carries | Keep on farm units and early accounts. | Not always better than damage traits on pure DPS. |
| Rebirth | S | Tank, long stages, Infinite Mode | Keep on tanks and hard-mode frontliners. | Reroll later if the unit never dies. |
| Lethal | A | Midgame DPS | Good stopping point before chasing SS traits. | Replace only when resources are comfortable. |
| Sniper | A | Range-sensitive DPS and support | Keep if range improves uptime in your mode. | Raw damage may be weaker than Lethal. |
| Wealthy | A | Starter farm and budget units | Keep until Entrepreneur appears. | Avoid on your main DPS carry. |
| Knight / Juggernaut | B | Temporary tanks | Accept while progressing. | Do not spend Perfect Cubes to preserve it. |
| Powerful / Ranger | C | Very early progression | Use only when reroll resources are empty. | Reroll on important units. |
| Sight / Endure / Tank | D | Placeholder only | Reroll once resources allow. | Low-value stop point for most builds. |
Best Traits by Unit Role
DPS units usually want Superior, Cloner, Lethal, or Sniper depending on stats and placement. Farm units want Entrepreneur or Wealthy. Tanks value Rebirth, Knight, or Juggernaut more than pure damage.
How Trait Rerolls Work
Trait rerolls spend scarce resources. Reroll only when the unit is likely to stay in your team long enough to justify the cost.
When to Stop Rerolling Traits
Stop when the trait matches the role and the next upgrade would cost resources needed for codes, farming, evolution, or gear. A-tier traits are often good enough on midgame units.
Perfect Cubes, Shards and Reroll Resources
Perfect Cubes should be saved for top units, not temporary story fillers. Codes and farming routes can refill reroll resources, but release-week generosity may not last.
| Resource | Route | Use | Stage | Caution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | Raid Shop, Squadron clears, 30-minute challenges, selling banner extras, AFK chamber | Unit upgrades, early progression, craft setup | All stages | Do not spend all gold before picking a main carry. |
| Gems | Raid Shop, Story 1-1 Hard, 30-minute challenges, AFK chamber, active codes | Summons and roster upgrades | Early to endgame | Stop rolling once you have a usable carry plus economy unit. |
| EXP | Raids, Squadron, Story 1-1, daily play | Leveling priority units | All stages | Avoid leveling every new pull equally. |
| Trait Shards / Rerolls | Codes, Raid Shop, 30-minute challenges, AFK chamber | Trait rerolls on core units | Mid to endgame | Save Perfect Cubes for irreplaceable units. |
| Bounty Tickets | UPD 0.75 codes and event rewards | Event or bounty activity | Update-dependent | Spend before event shops rotate if confirmed time-limited. |
| Baras Coins | EventChanges code and event content | Event shop or update-specific progression | UPD 0.75 | Needs in-game check for best purchase order. |
DPS Traits

Farm Traits
Entrepreneur and Wealthy belong on Fastwagon or other economy units before they belong on damage carries.
Support and Tank Traits
Cloner helps support placement; Rebirth, Knight, and Juggernaut help tanks and survival stages.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Anime Squadron trait?
Superior and Cloner are the broadest premium goals, but Entrepreneur can be better on farm units and Rebirth can be better on tanks.
When should I stop rerolling?
Stop when the trait fits the unit role and further rerolls would delay evolution, gear, or a better long-term unit.
